Mobiles With Snapdragon 8 Series
In the past two years, there has been a large variety of mobiles with the latest Snapdragon 8 series. Several of them have become quite popular, and many people are looking to get their hands on them. This is particularly true when it comes to the new LG G7 ThinQ and OnePlus 11 series. These smartphones have the latest processor and offer top-of-the-line features.
OnePlus 11 series
The OnePlus 11 series mobiles are the first to be powered by the new Snapdragon 8 series. This is the latest version of the popular processor and it is said to bring improved power efficiency and enhanced AI integration across the system.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 features a new design with new layout, a power efficient octa-core chipset and Arm’s new Cortex-X3 cores. These cores deliver a 40 percent improvement in performance. In addition, the SoC offers Wi-Fi 7 and AV1 decoding.
The OnePlus 11 is expected to feature a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED display. It will also have a 5000mAh battery and a 16MP front-facing camera. Also, the device will run Android 13.
One of the most anticipated features of the OnePlus 11 is its triple-camera setup. Rumor has it that the OnePlus 11 will have a 50MP primary sensor, along with a 16MP telephoto and ultrawide lens. Another feature is its punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera.
Xiaomi 12
Xiaomi 12 and the 12 Pro are the first smartphones with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Series. Although they are not yet officially announced, these smartphones could be available in China as early as April.
Both of these smartphones feature some impressive tech, including a 6.28-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision. The main camera offers a telephoto lens, and the front camera comes with a 32MP sensor.
Although Xiaomi 12 is a little pricier than last year’s Mi 11, it still comes in at a reasonable price. It also offers some great specs for a phone that is so compact.
With a 5,000 mAh battery, you can expect decent battery life. Charging will be a breeze, too, with a 67W USB-C port or a wireless charger.
Vivo X90 Pro+
The new Vivo X90 Pro Plus is the first smartphone in the market to run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series processor. Powered by a custom-designed V2 ISP, the chip handles HDR, interpolation, and MEMC, while the improved Adreno 740 GPU provides smooth graphics and visuals.
The Vivo X90 Pro+ has a 6.78-inch Samsung E6 LTPO AMOLED display. With a resolution of 1440p, the screen has a pixel density of 517 PPI. Combined with a 120Hz refresh rate, it delivers exceptional color reproduction.
The Vivo X90 Pro+ also has a 3.5x periscope telephoto lens for better imaging. In addition, the camera module features a 12-megapixel wide-angle sensor with 2x optical zoom, and a 48-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture. It also supports Zeiss’s ZEISS Flare Portrait, Miniature Bokeh, and Architecture modes.
LG G7 ThinQ
LG has launched its next flagship smartphone, the LG G7 ThinQ. It’s the sequel to last year’s LG G6, which is an excellent phone in its own right.
The G7 has a lot to offer. For starters, it’s a well-designed, high-performance mobile platform with a Snapdragon 845 processor. There are also impressive cameras, a great display, and an AI assistant. And LG hasn’t skimped on the headphone jack or wireless charging.
But there are some drawbacks to the LG G7, too. Specifically, the battery isn’t big enough for a day of use. This means the G7 doesn’t have the same level of autonomy as rivals. Also, LG’s design team put the volume buttons on the back of the phone, instead of the side.
Motorola Edge Plus (2022)
It’s been a long time since we’ve seen Motorola make a true premium phone. But we finally have one with the new Moto Edge Plus.
The company has taken a few cues from its competitors, notably Samsung and Apple, and given us a premium smartphone that’s packed with intriguing features. If you’re looking for a high-end Android phone that can stand up to the elements, look no further.
For starters, this phone has a 6.7-inch pOLED display that packs a 144Hz refresh rate. This is on par with some of the best gaming smartphones. Even if you’re not a pixel peeper, you’ll find that this screen is more than sufficient.
Another great thing about this phone is its battery life. Thanks to the aforementioned pOLED technology, you can expect up to two days of use out of the battery.
